Description

This internship provides practical phlebotomy experience in a clinical setting. Emphasis will be placed on specimen collection and handling. Students will be required to complete 50 successful venipuncture and 10 capillary collections and record a minimum of 50 clinical hours. Prerequisite: MDT223, Phlebotomy. Completed Health History Form and Criminal Disclosure Form. Co-requisite MDT230 Phlebotomy Capstone or Instructor Permission.
